Pilar, Bataan – In an interview with Mayor Charlie Pizarro conducted by the Bataan Chronicle several years ago, Mayor Pizarro couldn’t help expressing his desire of rebuilding and renovating the Municipal Building of Pilar, Bataan
The good Mayor stated then that he would rather have the Pilar Municipal Building be renewed and rebuilt.

When asked why he didn’t imitate other local executives at that time that spent a lot of money just to provide their respective constituents with large and spacious public market, even going to the extent of borrowing money from the bank just to be able to put up beautiful and spacious public market.

Mayor Pizarro sincerely answered that the Municipality of Pilar, Bataan need not  construct a big and spacious public market, for the main reason that the Municipality of Pilar is located in between the two municipalities with big and spacious public markets consisting of Balanga City Public Market and Orion Public Market are enough to meet the needs of various items (like food, clothes, shoes and other luxurious things) of their respective Constituents.

Considering that during those days, every municipality of the province was interested to construct a big and spacious public market of their own, yet Mayor Pizarro was not tempted to construct a Public Market for his municipality, for he firmly believe that what this municipality needed was a big and spacious municipal building where employees as well as visitors and callers can relax, refresh and feel at home!

And so, after a while of waiting, and announcement for the construction of Pilar Municipal Building worth P37M and improvement of its surroundings are now going on – an indication that the very dreams of Mayor Charlie for his people had come true and realized.
